Trish Melander is a plein air landscape painter, documenting the diversity of the western landscape with the permanence of oils. Trish embraces being outdoors to paint and watch light, humans, weather and decay impact our surroundings. Trish seeks to capture the textures of life, layered in irregular ways around us. Both natural and manmade ephemera yield substance to our sense of space in the world. Her work is regularly displayed at plein air events around the west.
She has studied with Mitch Baird, Doug Braithwaite, Aimee Erickson, Eric Jacobsen, John Poon, and Dave Santillanes.
